Gajar Halwa

Gajar halwa, Also called as Gajrela. Now who doesn’t love this? A simple yet tasty dessert which is everyone’s favorite  From young to the old everyone loves Gajar Halwa..


Milk : 5cups
Carrots (grated)  : 750gms
Condensed Milk : 1cup
Ghee : 2tbsp
Sugar : 2tbsp
Chopped nuts : 50gms


  • Add the carrots to the milk in a deep pan and bring to boil.
  • Cook on a slow flame, while stirring occasionally, till milk dries up.
  • Add the condensed milk and sugar, mix well and cook on a slow flame till the mixture becomes dry, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the ghee, mix well and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with nuts, raisins and serve hot

Serving suggestions : Serve Gajar ka halwa a little warm with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream
